ACCESSING AND LIVING IN THE 9TH WAVE OF THE MAYAN CALENDAR

What do you suppose people on the Titanic would have recorded immediately following the collision with the iceberg if they had the time to do so?  That’s how I feel living on Earth in these tumultuous, challenging times of civil unrest, extensive climate change, increasing violence and war, economic uncertainty and people fighting over what is “truth.” 

Do you feel the same angst?  Furthermore, do you ask – “What can do I to help our planet evolve from distress to living in paradise?”

I first heard the term Mayan calendar in 1987, when I traveled with a group of spiritual pilgrims to celebrate the Harmonic Convergence at Mount Shasta, a power place in California. The Harmonic Convergence is the name given to the world's first synchronized global peace meditation, which occurred on August 16–17, 1987. This event was thought to coincide with an exceptional alignment of planets in the Solar System. 

However, as a professional astrologer, I believe the most extraordinary alignment happened two years later, in 1989 when Neptune and Uranus moved to within 8 degrees apart in Capricorn, which is called a conjunction.  Uranus conjunct Neptune is a rare alignment that occurs only every 168 years and affects all people alive on the Planet to some degree, especially those born at the time.  The period lasted approximately 7 years and was characterized by an unusually high degree of imagination and sensitivity. People become inspired. Many unusual contributions to the arts, music, religion, and psychic development were brought forth from those alive at this time. These works can be strange and bizarre, yet always original. Intense political movements may also have been inspired during this time.

Uranus conjunct Neptune gives unique creative talents and an unorthodox approach to spirituality and morals.

There is a natural freedom of expression that is inspiring to other generations. People approach life unbound by the restrictions of tradition, religion, and societal standards.  Imagination is allowed to run wild. This enables people to freely explore, invent, and create in every area of life. You may become eccentric, scandalous, provocative, or rebellious but so what. These are simply side effects of ingenuity or creative genius.  People crave a lot of stimulation and excitement in their lives and find satisfaction or enjoyment in showing off or showing society different ways of living and doing things. People can be trendsetters and have a great ability to entertain, excite, and even mesmerize other people.

People feel special and different but also know they are not alone but are connected to others. Whole generations shares a spiritual bond and one can recognize peers and their works. This aspect is associated with psychic ability and also the ability to tap into the mass consciousness.  Uranus conjunct Neptune transit can be enlightening or scary, or both at the same time. Belief systems, religion, and general perceptions of the world are rapidly changing. This is a mind-expanding influence, and people are likely to have many strange experiences and encounters.

Such a rapid expansion of consciousness can be exciting but also unsettling, as old perceptions of reality are shattered. The mind is more open to all kinds of influences. This can be a danger if under the influence of drugs, deceitful people or the allure of glamour and fame.  People are interested in exploring spirituality, ranging from traditional religions to astrology or black magic. People are not so tightly bound by normal moral, ethical and societal standards now. This is great for opening one’s minds to new possibilities, but it can also be destructive if taken advantage of.

This can be an extremely liberating and creative time in life. If people are bored and stuck in a rut then they can find stimulation and excitement through travel, entertainment, the arts, and especially spirituality.  One’s mind and body are loosened through singing, dancing and other forms of fun and creative expression. Creative people, whether musicians or scientists, can find new inspiration and make new discoveries.

In all, the Harmonic Convergence was a perfect overture for Uranus conjunct Neptune along with the awakening of the masses to the new understanding of the Mayan calendar. Tony Shearer, Jose Arguelles, and Michael Coe have published various popular books on the Mayan calendar but are not accepted by Mayan Elders as accurate, while Dr. Carl Calleman’s books are correct according to Mayan timekeepers living today.

I first read Dr. Calleman’s books on the Mayan calendar in early 2010 and was immediately entranced and excited.  We became friends for a time in 2022. He brilliantly took information from the Mayan calendar, helped by Mayan Elders to translate and understand.  Then he literally spent 30 years as a worthy scientist, putting the pieces together to make sense for laypeople and to give timelines for 6^th, 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th waves of that calendar and how that would translate for us in current time.

Whenever I get concerned or fearful I give those fears and concerns over to the care of God, as I understand God, the Divine Creator.  

Some years ago I gave my fear for the future of Planet Earth over to God, to protect and keep it safe, knowing that whatever was happening is part of the Divine Plan.  The 6^th and 7^th waves are currently in night, not to return to day until at least 2031.  The 7^th wave brought in freedom and democracy.  Now that the 7^th wave is in night until 2031, we have seen the global rise of fascism and totalitarianism.  The 7^th wave in night is part of the Divine Plan, as seen in the Mayan Calendar.  It doesn’t not imply destruction, but simply a new way of doing things on planet Earth. 

The 8th and 9^th waves continue to move in their patterns, from day to night and back again.  The 9^th wave is a most powerful wave in that it ushers in unity, harmony and working with the Divine to all of us.  This is also part of the Divine Plan.  Perhaps the 9^th wave is bringing Ascension to our planet, even as we suffer the 7^th wave as it travels in night.

In the final analysis, I continue to “surrender” our beloved planet Earth to the Divine, knowing that we are part of a Divine, although unknowable, Plan.
